There are many causes of tooth discoloration -- substances like coffee, cola, and smoking. Some medications and aging can also cause your teeth to stain over time. Your dentist can determine the shource of your discoloration, then recommend the best whitening sytem for you. In most cases, the results are striking!
|
1)
During your diagnostic visit, the dentist will take impressions
of your upper and lower teeth. This allows the dentist to make a custom
gel-holding appliance called a whitening tray.
|
2)
At your second visit, you will be fitted with your whitening
tray, which is a clear and very hard to detect at a distance, and provided
with the teeth whitening take-home whitening kit. You will also be given
specific instructions on how to administer the gel and how often to wear
your tray.
|
3)
To keep your teeth free from tartar and plaque, follow the
take-home directions and those of the dentist to maintain proper oral
hygience through brushing and flossing.
